I had a fabulous weekend in New York recently. One of the days I spent with my penpal. We walked around the city all day. One of my favourite shops we visited was Fish Eddys. I wanted to buy a tonne of stuff there. I only bought 'Heroes of the Torah' coasters to send to a friend.

This looks like so much fun! I am in the market for dishes right now, but haven't found anything I want/like. This photo struck me with an idea - how fun would it be to simply have a mixed up collection of vintage dishes rather than have everything matchy matchy? Who needs matching (and new, but crappy) dishes? Another excuse to go thrifting....

That's totally the way to go! I have my vintage collection of pyrex, but need to get more for my everyday dishes. If only we had better thrift stores here!
