Impractical

I rarely make impractical purchases. Yes, I shop a lot, but I feel I buy things that are usually worth it in some sense. I bought a white coat. Impractical, yes. But I love it! There is something glamorous about white, especially white coats. I don't buy white often because it gets dirty so easily and I hate it when things look grungy. I still somewhat regret buying my Matt and Nat bag in navy blue, when I could have bought it in white. I told myself that white was way too impractical for a purse. Now I own a white, wool coat and I absolutely love it. It may be awhile before I buy something white again, so I will enjoy this for as long as I can. I sure hope it doesn't get dirty anytime soon!

It's always a good day when I get a new pair of shoes. I've had my eye on these Miss Sixty flats, but they were a little pricey. Luckily Browns was having a sale today.

Red Is Best

Well, not really. I don't know how I end up with so much stuff in red. I really wanted these boots in greys, but they didn't have my size. I think I like these almost as much now. I'm happy to finally have cute rubber boots. I tried on some Hunters, but luckily they didn't fit right. I really did not want to spent $150 for some rubber boots.

I have this thing for zip ups and hound dogs. I was at Capsule in Hayes Valley today... I mean the Union Design Fair (I can't remember the new name of this thing), and saw this great hoodie, so I had to get it! Overall, the fair was really good. I ran into some great people I knew and made a great contact with another bag maker. And of course I has some Frjtz's for lunch!

I love Marc Jacobs. I love Bloomingdale's.

I found the cutest marc jacobs' shoes at Bloomingdale's. I could actually buy them because I got them on sale! I saved $110! 

Saturday Grey Day

Not only did I eat a lot of sweets yesterday, but I bought a pair of shoes and a marc jacobs' hoodie. Both items were grey.

New Stuff

Last weekend I was shopping downtown with my friend who was visiting. I hadn't been to h&m in months, as I had gotten kinda sick of every store downtown except Bloomingdale's. I was quite pleased with what they had and got this coat.

It also matches my new Orla Kiely bag perfectly!

Berkley Illustration

Did I ever tell you how much I am in love with BerkleyIllustration's prints? I'm sure I did. Plenty of times! If you have been to my apartment this fact is very apparent.
I am anxiously waiting for their new February animals. Then I will buy this Meerkat and maybe one of the new ones. My collection will never be complete.

Orla Kiely

I've been wanting to buy an Orla Kiely bag forever. I actually really, really want her luggage, but fancy luggage is something I will never justify buying. I'd been holding off buying one of her bags mainly because I couldn't really afford one. When there was finally a good bag sale at Bloomingdale's hers were all sold out. BUT they are currently 50% off at her website. It took a long time to decide which one to get. I hope I am happy with it!

New Spectacles

I picked up my new glasses today. They are by Francis Klein. I feel I betrayed Anne et Valentin and la font, but I guess that happens. These might be my favourite frames ever.

Apple TV!

Even though I'm not that into TV (other than GossipGirl) and I don't even have cable, I decided I totally wanted this for xmas after seeing it on someone's flickr account. I got it in the mail today! It just might be one of the cutest things ever.

Marc Jacobs' Coat!!!!

I think I might have broken my record for an awesome deal. I spotted this great coat at Bloomindale's last Tuesday after I got my hair cut. I wrote it off as something way too expensive that I would never consider getting. It was $658. I thought I'd keep my eye on it as there can be some pretty good sales. I had gotten these Bloomingdale's coupons in the mail this week, but didn't think much of them because I didn't think the coat would apply. I phoned Bloomingdale's this morning and turned out they do work! I got 40% off the total price and an extra $125 off with my coupons. It came to $269 ($292 with tax)! I couldn't believe it. I also got two $15 gift cards and now have enough points on my Bloomingdale's card to get another $25 gift card. Now I can get a super price on a new pair of jeans! All my xmas money is going toward this coat!

The Mission

I spent Sunday shopping in the mission (and a quick trip downtown to Bloomingdale's and anthropologie) with my sister.

Highs: little otsu, David Egger's Pirate Supply store, seeing The Ferocious Few play at Market and Powell, Frijtz's

Lows: seeing someone barf in a Guardian newspaper box and Fritz's EuroPop decor.

I love stationery. Etsy has renewed my obsession with it. I had taken about a 10 year break from madly buying it up because I got sick of only finding Sanrio stuff. Lately I have bought this stuff off Etsy:
