Impractical

I rarely make impractical purchases. Yes, I shop a lot, but I feel I buy things that are usually worth it in some sense. I bought a white coat. Impractical, yes. But I love it! There is something glamorous about white, especially white coats. I don't buy white often because it gets dirty so easily and I hate it when things look grungy. I still somewhat regret buying my Matt and Nat bag in navy blue, when I could have bought it in white. I told myself that white was way too impractical for a purse. Now I own a white, wool coat and I absolutely love it. It may be awhile before I buy something white again, so I will enjoy this for as long as I can. I sure hope it doesn't get dirty anytime soon!

I found the cutest marc jacobs' shoes at Bloomingdale's. I could actually buy them because I got them on sale! I saved $110! 

Saturday Grey Day

Not only did I eat a lot of sweets yesterday, but I bought a pair of shoes and a marc jacobs' hoodie. Both items were grey.

New Stuff

Last weekend I was shopping downtown with my friend who was visiting. I hadn't been to h&m in months, as I had gotten kinda sick of every store downtown except Bloomingdale's. I was quite pleased with what they had and got this coat.

It also matches my new Orla Kiely bag perfectly!

Orla Kiely

I've been wanting to buy an Orla Kiely bag forever. I actually really, really want her luggage, but fancy luggage is something I will never justify buying. I'd been holding off buying one of her bags mainly because I couldn't really afford one. When there was finally a good bag sale at Bloomingdale's hers were all sold out. BUT they are currently 50% off at her website. It took a long time to decide which one to get. I hope I am happy with it!

New Spectacles

I picked up my new glasses today. They are by Francis Klein. I feel I betrayed Anne et Valentin and la font, but I guess that happens. These might be my favourite frames ever.

Marc Jacobs' Coat!!!!

I think I might have broken my record for an awesome deal. I spotted this great coat at Bloomindale's last Tuesday after I got my hair cut. I wrote it off as something way too expensive that I would never consider getting. It was $658. I thought I'd keep my eye on it as there can be some pretty good sales. I had gotten these Bloomingdale's coupons in the mail this week, but didn't think much of them because I didn't think the coat would apply. I phoned Bloomingdale's this morning and turned out they do work! I got 40% off the total price and an extra $125 off with my coupons. It came to $269 ($292 with tax)! I couldn't believe it. I also got two $15 gift cards and now have enough points on my Bloomingdale's card to get another $25 gift card. Now I can get a super price on a new pair of jeans! All my xmas money is going toward this coat!

I refuse to buy anything full price at Anthropologie. Actually, I rarely buy anything frivolous full price. I could probably write a blog on just the great deals I get. Did I mention I got my $425 Betsey Johnson dress for only $140 (that INCLUDES tax!).
I got this coat for $90! regular $180. Pretty good! Oh and I also got a $150 skirt for $40!!

The Party Dress

I have been on the hunt for the perfect 1950s "style" party dress for about 10 years. "Style" because the authentic ones are impossible to find and when found are usually size two. I have found and bought two so far. They are almost my idea of the perfect party dress. Today I found the penultimate to my search, but it's a Betsey Johnson and really not something I should be spending my money (or lack thereof) on right now. Even though I do have the perfect shoes and handbag for it. Oh goodness.
